For as far as one could see\, it was an ocean of justice-seeking\, insightful\, believing men\, women\, youth\, and children expressing their solidarity with the oppressed nation of Palestine 🇵🇸. Many elderly were witnessed on wheelchairs and even crutches. 👨‍🦽👨‍🦯 Subhan-Allah. \n🚶‍♂️This was the first-ever year where the English speaking International Students of Qom (SoQ) came together to form a rally of their own and marched towards and joined the Main Rally. A big Al-Quds Day Banner and placards in English were designed\, printed\, and prepared by our volunteers\, especially for the Al-Quds Day Rally. The participants carried the banner and placards throughout the rally and chanted slogans in English. ✊ \nThe local Iranian population welcomed this initiative a great deal and appreciated the strong presence of non-Iranians in the rally. Countless people expressed their gratitude towards the international students’ participation in this rally. Some of the comments we received: \n✨ “The entire world should stand against Zionism. And this organized presence of the English speaking international students is simply amazing.” \n✨ “Due to the international media blackout against us\, we don’t get coverage. Your presence shows us that our voice is reaching outside of Iran.” \n✨ “You guys show us that we are not alone in this battle against the oppressors.” \n✨ “The Al-Quds Day is not specific to Iranians. You guys proved it!” \n✨ “You may be a small group\, but you give us hope that the message of Wilayah is being received by you as well.” \n✨ “Your presence shows that the message of the Islamic Revolution is reaching far and wide.” \n✨ “Your organized rally is a proof that our resistance against the arrogant powers is successful and victorious.” \nMany such comments were given to us by the local Iranian crowd. The main hall got filled up with adults while the kids area got occupied by the kids for a special program hosted by Jamkaran’s kids-specialist team of scholars. \nMen\, women\, youth\, kids and a number of senior scholars attended this event. Sayyid Shahryar from the US emceed the event which started off with mesmerizing recitation of the Holy Quran by Br. Taqi from Afganistan followed up with enticing recitation of Ziyarat Ale Yasin by Br. Modaressi from the Islamic Republic of Iran. \nBr. Ali Murtaza from Nigeria\, Br. Husayn from the US\, and Br. Muzaffer from the UK presented outstanding\, refreshing and revolutionary spoken word poetry. \nThe Live Talk Show was conducted with Sayyid Muhammad Hashemi from the Islamic Republic of Iran\, Shaykh Muhammad Husayn from Trinidad & Tobago\, Shaykh Ali from Pakistan\, and Sayyid Amir Behbahani from Canada. \nAyatollah Mohsen Araki from the Islamic Republic of Iran delivered the keynote speech discussing the occultation and the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (ATFS) and our responsibilities during his occultation. \n14 families received Raffle Draw gift pictures from Ustad Shaykh Jahanifard. \nKids were all dressed with headbands by our volunteers to perform the ‘Salam Farmande’ Surūd on stage. Hundreds of live audience applauded their performance with Salawaat on Muhammad wa Ale Muhammad (s). Their performance left many in tears of joy and the hall resonated with the slogans of ‘Labbayka Ya Mahdi’ and ‘Labbayka Ya Khamenei’. \nThe kids received goodie bags upon entering the venue and a group of female volunteers did face and hand painting for them. It was all managed by our youth sisters. \nMultimedia video clips of Imam Ruhollah Khomeini and Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei were played on three spread out projector screens in subsequent intervals throughout the event. A beautiful elegy video by Haj Ahangaran titled ‘O’ Imam Mahdi; We Are Ready’ was played at the beginning of the event. All clips were subtitled in English. \nAll attendees were served with Takeaway Dinner Tabarruk by Masjid al-Jamkaran. \nTea and snacks were made available throughout the event. Our volunteer families and many attendees stayed behind for cleaning and wrap up.
