Sayyid Shahryar from the US emceed the event\, which started off with mesmerizing recitation of the Holy Quran by Br. Zaki Naqvi from the US followed up with an enticing recitation of Dua Tawassul by Sayyid Amir Behbahani from Canada. \nBr. Ali Murtaza from Nigeria and Br. Husayn from the US presented thought-provoking and revolutionary spoken word poetry. \nShaykh Muhammad Ali Husayn from the Philippines delivered a short talk highlighting the impact of Imam Khomeini (r) on the locals in the Philippines. Shaykh Ali from Pakistan spoke briefly about Imam Khomeini’s comprehensive personality\, knowledge\, and understanding of the Pure Muhammadan Islam. \nShaykh Ahmad Panahian from the Islamic Republic of Iran delivered the keynote speech on the topic of “The Divine System of Wilayatul Faqih Against The Global System of Arrogance”. \nChildren were all dressed with headbands by our volunteers to perform the ‘Salam Farmande 2’ Surūd on stage. Hundreds of live audience applauded their performance with Salawaat on Muhammad wa Ale Muhammad (s). \nMultimedia video clips of Imam Sayyid Ruhollah Khomeini and Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei were played on four spread-out screens in subsequent intervals throughout the event. Both clips were subtitled in English. A beautiful Islamic resistance song titled ‘Khomeini-e-Imam’ was played at the beginning and end of the event. \nThe kids area offered coloring activities\, toys\, blocks\, and much more which they enjoyed from the beginning of the program till after. \nThe event concluded with Salātul Jamā’ah. \nAll attendees were served fruit punch\, snacks\, and cookies\, during the event and Takeaway Dinner Tabarruk at the end. \nAlmost all arrangements were made by our team of youth volunteers. SoQ volunteer families and many attendees stayed behind to clean and wrap up. For as far as one could see\, it was an ocean of justice-seeking\, insightful\, believing men\, women\, youth\, and children expressing their solidarity with the oppressed nation of Palestine 🇵🇸. Many elderly were witnessed on wheelchairs and even crutches. 👨‍🦽👨‍🦯 Subhan-Allah. \n🚶‍♂️This was the first-ever year where the English speaking International Students of Qom (SoQ) came together to form a rally of their own and marched towards and joined the Main Rally. A big Al-Quds Day Banner and placards in English were designed\, printed\, and prepared by our volunteers\, especially for the Al-Quds Day Rally. The participants carried the banner and placards throughout the rally and chanted slogans in English. ✊ \nThe local Iranian population welcomed this initiative a great deal and appreciated the strong presence of non-Iranians in the rally. Countless people expressed their gratitude towards the international students’ participation in this rally. Some of the comments we received: \n✨ “The entire world should stand against Zionism. And this organized presence of the English speaking international students is simply amazing.” \n✨ “Due to the international media blackout against us\, we don’t get coverage. Your presence shows us that our voice is reaching outside of Iran.” \n✨ “You guys show us that we are not alone in this battle against the oppressors.” \n✨ “The Al-Quds Day is not specific to Iranians. You guys proved it!” \n✨ “You may be a small group\, but you give us hope that the message of Wilayah is being received by you as well.” \n✨ “Your presence shows that the message of the Islamic Revolution is reaching far and wide.” \n✨ “Your organized rally is a proof that our resistance against the arrogant powers is successful and victorious.” \nMany such comments were given to us by the local Iranian crowd. Alhamdo-lillah. \nWe would like to thank each and every one of you who participated in this rally with SoQ volunteer families. \nWe were joined by a diverse crowd of English speaking students and scholars along with their families from Nigeria\, Philippines\, Canada\, US\, UK\, Dubai\, Tanzania\, Qatar\, New Zealand\, Pakistan\, India and English-speaking Iranians. \nThank you for showing the strength and unity.
